Introduction to DoT OSP License
Documents required to apply for OSP Registration
- The Registrar of Companies issued the certificate of incorporation.
- Articles of Association (AA) and the Memorandum of Association (MOA) (AOA)
- Board resolution or Power of Attorney with certified signatures appointing the designated signatory
- Business and activity types of the proposed OSP
- Current shareholding structure of the corporation showing equity information
- List of the company's current directors, together with their names and addresses
- Any of the company's directors, the company secretary, the statutory auditors, or a public notary must certify all documents with their official seal.
OSP Compliance Validity
Unless specifically stated on the registration letter, the licence is valid for 20 years from the date of issue. Within six months of the end of the financial year, the OSP must submit a "Annual Return" to the registering authority in the required Performa, including the details of the preceding financial year's operations and the status of their continued OSP operation. The Active OSP list must contain the functioning OSPs. Those OSPs whose annual returns have gone unfiled for three consecutive years will be placed on a dormant list, and after two years, their registration will be terminated. The DOT website would make this list accessible.
