  • An organisation of the Indian government known as the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) was established to support the growth of scheduled product exports by way of financial aid.
  • APEDA's mission is to promote the export and development of scheduled products. To this end, the federal government has given this organisation a number of responsibilities. This body's governing body is the federal government.

Process

  • For registering under APEDA, the applicant should submit the application form within 1 month from the date of undertaking the business. Only the Authority may extend that deadline if the exporter of planned products fails to register within that time frame for a good reason.
  • When an application has been properly submitted and paid for, the authorities will issue a Registration -Cum- Membership- Certificate (RCMC). All members who have enrolled under this one-time registration are subject to the APEDA Act's rules and regulations

  • Certified copy of the application form, sealed.
  • A self-certified copy of the Director-General of Foreign Trade's Import Export Code (IEC).
  • A bank certificate in the required format supporting the applicant's financial soundness is required.
  • Certified copy of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the company, the partnership agreement for the partnership firm, the trust agreement or the Memorandum of Rules and Regulations for the trust or society.
