Introduction to Fire NOC

  • The NOC for Fire Department is provided by the appropriate state's fire service and certifies and checks the building's resistance or its ability to observe mishaps involving fire. The Following Buildings Are Required to Obtain Clearance From Respective States:

  • Buildings that are used as homes or high-rise structures with more than four floors, including a mezzanine floor, but are not hotels or guesthouses and have a height of more than 15 metres
  • Hotels and guesthouses that are above 12 metres high with a ground floor and three more stories, including a mezzanine floor
  • educational structures with a height of more than nine metres or two above storeys, including a mezzanine level
  • Institutional structures with a height greater than 9 metres or with a ground story and two additional floors, including a mezzanine level
  • all Assembly structures
  • Business structures of a height greater than 15 metres or four additional floors, including a mezzanine floor
  • Mercantile structures taller than nine metres or with a ground story and two more floors, including a mezzanine floor
  • Industrial structures with a total covered area of more than 250 square metres
  • Storage structures with more than 250 square metres of covered space on each floor
  • All hazardous structures with covered areas measuring greater than 100 square metres on each floor

Documents Required to Apply for Fire NOC Compliance

  • Two sets of building plans, obtained from the building authority, consisting of a site plan, a building plan, a layout plan, an analysis report, and a form of supervision
  • The building designs must include all the details outlined in the bylaws.
