TEC Certification for VHF and UHF Radio Base Station and User Terminals covers the requirements for TEC Certification of Radio base station and user terminals transmitting in the VHF or UHF bands. TEC Certification is a process by which a TEC Mark is awarded to a radio base station or user terminal following successful completion of all TEC tests and inspections. The TEC Mark demonstrates that the radio base station or user terminal meets the TEC standards for safety, performance and interference immunity. TEC Certification is required for all radio base stations and user terminals that are to be used in the TEC networks. TEC Certification is also recognized by other members of the TETRA group, making it easier for manufacturers to sell their products in multiple markets. TEC Certification provides assurance to users that their radio base station or user terminal will work correctly with other TEC certified devices and will not cause harmful interference.
