EPR Authorization is required for Cordless telephones.It is the responsibility of Manufacturer / Importer to ensure environmentally sound management of E-waste generated by electrical / electronic products at the end of its life. The EPR Authorization process for cordless telephones includes obtaining the EPR Registration Certificate from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and then getting EPR authorization from the State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs). EPR Authorized recyclers are allowed to import E-waste from other countries and recycle them in an environmentally sound manner in India. E-Waste generated in India can also be exported to other countries for recycling, provided the exporter has all the necessary permissions and certificates
