EPR Authorization for Answering System is responsibility of Manufacturer / Importer to ensure environmentally sound management of E-waste generated by electrical / electronic products at the end of its life. The EPR authorization certificate is an important step towards meeting this responsibility. The certificate ensures that the manufacturer / importer has taken steps to establish an appropriate system for the collection and recycling of e-waste. This system must be able to meet the needs of the consumers and businesses in the country where the products are sold. In order to obtain the EPR authorization certificate, the manufacturer / importer must submit a detailed plan outlining the proposed system to the competent authority. The plan must demonstrate that the system is capable of collecting and recycling a significant percentage of e-waste generated by the products covered by the authorization.
